NEL Outreach Work

Overall, Child A has demonstrated progress across all targeted areas, with clearer and more consistent communication, increased success with structured task sequences and growing familiarity with using their Zones of Regulation chart. The strategies and approaches used, such as modelling language, providing visual supports, and breaking tasks into manageable steps, have helped Child A participate more confidently across the day and respond well to predictable routines. 

Outreach teacher calm, friendly, and patient approach has had a noticeably positive impact on Child A. She has taken time to model strategies clearly and gently, helping adults to learn and feel confident. The adults working with Child A have provided consistent, thoughtful support, spending meaningful time with Child A in the school environment to understand their needs well and apply strategies with care. Their calm and consistent approach has helped create a supportive atmosphere in which Child A can practise and develop new skills. The strategies Outreach teacher has introduced have strengthened this further, helping to embed consistent practice across the team and enhance the support Child A receive.
