SCITT

Are you a good graduate?  Do you have at least three years’ work experience?

Then earn a salary while you train. Teacher training is available at Inspire CCT in conjunction with our local SCITT.

The programme allows you to apply to train with specific school associations which may potentially have a job for you should you be successful. The majority of the training will take place within Inspire CCT under the auspices of the SCITT, alongside personal development programmes based within coaching.

Is this the right career path for you?

Please find below quotes from candidates who have undertaken ITT with INSPIRE:

“During my ITT training within St Lawrence I was supported throughout by the entire teaching and learning team and looked upon as a valued member of staff. I was able to learn through observing and working alongside outstanding practitioners and grow my knowledge base, strategies and confidence allowing me to become the teacher I am today. The weekly meetings with my mentor were solution focused around areas for development. Targets were discussed and devised as a partnership allowing me to be honest about the direction I felt my training needed to go, supporting my development both as a teacher and personally. The impact of this supportive training environment has allowed me to become a confident and competent teacher and the sense of satisfaction from working alongside and guiding young people to achieve their potential is immeasurable.

When given the ITT position within St Lawrence, I was given the opportunity to become a reflective and creative practitioner. Despite having no previous experience in a school except from within my Undergraduate degree, I always felt supported by my in-school mentor and Headteacher. I was consistently supported to develop my existing skills through the trust’s CPD and my personal training opportunities. Throughout my training year I trained within St Lawrence and Welton as my second school placement, two fantastic schools with high standards of teaching and learning. INSPIRE taught me how to be a reflective practitioner, and to continually achieve good and outstanding teaching. I was given the opportunity to continually develop my practice, with the support of my mentor, the head teacher, and the other staff amongst the school and wider trust. I was able to achieve Outstanding in my QTS. I feel grateful to have been given the opportunity to undertake my ITT year within INSPIRE.”
